Recently, CRAFT facilitated and held a very succesful workshop at the Art Biennale in Venice.
During a 5-day workshop 52 students and teachers from all over the world worked intensively with the cultural heritage of the chair and traditions of seating, while designing concepts of the chair in the context of Venice. The chosen chair for this workshop was the Monobloc chair.
To open the workshop Matteo Giannasi from the Biennale Sessions welcomed the students in company of Project leader Anna Marie Fisker, followed by an introduction to the workshop by Tenna Doktor Olsen Tvedebrink from Aalborg University who took over as workshop leader.
The students were divided into six groups and each group were given a specific theme, within the scenery of Venice. During the 5-day workshop, the students developed and designed more than 700 posters through interdisciplinary group work and close collaboration with the teachers and CRAFT partners.
